FAQs
Which bottle size should I choose?
The small bottle can contain 150 ml of milk, and the large bottle can contain 300 ml of milk. Babies are different, but as a rule of thumb we suggest the small bottle until 4 months and the large bottle from 4 months and up. There is no difference in the nipple size - The flow is regulated by the vent-system, that is depending on the strength of your baby.
Why should I choose the support kit?
The need for meal sizes can vary both with your baby's age, but also depending on whether you are supplementing the meal or giving a full meal – or from day to night. Therefore with the support kit, you have a baby bottle for all situations, and can be flexible around your baby's needs.
Can I store breastmilk directly in the bottle?
You can store breastmilk directly in the microplastic-free bottle with the fridge lid. Replace the nipple and vent system with the fridge lid, and screw it onto the bottle to save breastmilk in the fridge for later. Always follow recommendations for how long breastmilk can be stored.
Can the caramma support bottle go in the microwave?
The caramma support bottle can go in the microwave like any other bottle. Though different third party recommendations suggests that microwaves might heat milk unevenly and have larger risk of burning, so be careful. Another easy way to heat the milk is to sink your caramma support bottle into a bowl of hot/boiled water for a minute, before you empty out the air. You can feel the temperature on your hand – if it is lukewarm, it is the right temperature.
Does the caramma support bottle fit my milk warmer/sterilizer?
As far as we are informed it fits most of the common milk-warmers and sterilizers on the market. Please if you can let us know if there are some milk-warmers on the market it does not fit to, then we can communicate it.
Is the nipple the same for both sizes of the baby bottle?
Yes, the nipple is onesize and fits all ages. The flow is regulated by the vent-system, that is depending on the strength of your baby.
Why are natural positions important?
If your baby is breastfed, the positioning in itself is safe & known. It is more easy for your baby to control the rhythm while eating on the side or on the belly. It also supports muscles and motorical development to differentiate eating positions.
What if my baby is already fully bottle-fed?
If your baby has already been fully fed by a conventional baby bottle for a long period of time, your baby might prefer the conventional baby bottle (as your baby might also prefer a conventional baby bottle over a natural breast at this point). The sucking technique differentiates. That is why we suggest introducing caramma support bottle from the beginning.
