"We have each given birth to two children. Experiencing breastfeeding firsthand, while also facing its challenges – like insufficient milk supply, sickness, work and partner on parental leave – inspired us deeply. We noticed that baby bottles available didn’t resemble the breastfeeding experience in any way."
Co-designers Rie Maktabi and Monika Havnø has developed the bottle over five years. Working with more than a hundred families and health professionals formed the vision of a breastfeeding support, mimicking breasts in form and function.
The caramma support bottle, a Danish Design Award 2024 finalist, is a double-patented technology that succeeds in keeping a collapsible bottle airfree. While creating a slow flow controlled by the baby and supporting healthy eating habits with natural pauses aimed at reducing the risk of overfeeding, it allows for full intimacy.
The caramma support bottle is designed from circular principles: the bottles are foldable for efficient transport, and mono-materials are easily disassembled for a resourceful afterlife.

Based on our manifest, we have spent the last five years to develop and test a revolutionary baby-bottle as close to mother nature as possible. Our wonderful, dedicated community of families & healthcare staff has directed every feature of the bottle, to make the experience as natural as possible. More than 30 prototypes has been tested in the aim for perfection. Together with a team of precious geeks, we have invented patented technical solutions never seen before, to get as close as possible to the wonderful creation of the female breast <3
