We are proud to have received the Red Dot “Best of the Best” award in the category of Innovative Design for our infant care solution.
For us, this recognition is about the reality Caramma is built on: listening to and collaborating with families and healthcare professionals changes the game.
Breastfeeding is often described as natural and straightforward. In reality, many parents experience challenges along the way. This can create uncertainty during a time when the need for calm, closeness, and reassurance is at its highest.
Caramma is designed to support situations where breastfeeding does not work as intended, and when feeding is shared between multiple caregivers, without removing closeness or the baby’s natural rhythm. The design is based on principles inspired by the natural function of the breast, allowing the child to regulate pace and pauses during feeding.
At the same time, the solution enables other caregivers to participate in feeding in a calm and flexible way.
Caramma is not an alternative to breastfeeding, but a support in situations where it is needed.
The product has been developed over several years in collaboration with families and healthcare professionals, and is made in silicone.
The Red Dot “Best of the Best” is an important recognition for us, but more importantly, it reflects a growing understanding that feeding is not only about function - it is also about connection, reassurance, and the relationship between a baby and the people caring for them.
As the Red Dot jury described it, Caramma places “the relationship between the infant and the caregiver at the heart of the design.” For us, that is exactly what this journey has always been about: creating support for families in moments that can feel vulnerable, emotional, and deeply human <3
